Proposal for Habibullah Integrated Coal Mining/ Power Generation Feasibility Study

Overseas Consultants, in joint venture with Messrs Foster Power, LLC, Tampa, Florida, United States of America, have submitted a Proposal for Habibullah Integrated Coal Mining/Power Generation Feasibility Study to the Grantee, Mr. Saeedullah Khan Paracha, Managing Director, Messrs Habibullah Energy, Ltd., 1st Floor, Nacon House, 270 Moulana Din Mohammad, Wafai Road., Karachi, Pakistan, on May 15, 2008, under a grant from the United States Trade Development Agency (USTDA), Washington, DC.

Overseas Consultants have retained the services of Mr. Maqsood Ali Mian, Proprietor, PETRO MAKS, Karachi, as a consultant on energy, environment and management services. Mr. Mian is the main Point of Contact (POC) for Overseas Consultants in Pakistan and will also be the Sub-contractor and Project Manager for this project till its successful completion.

Mr. Mian has assembled a team of professional experts with over 35-40 years of rich experience in scores of coal and energy projects, which will help him in preparing a full fledged feasibility report once Overseas Consultants is awarded the task by the Grantee. Mr. Mian’s team consists of, but is not limited to:

1. Amanullah Mir, Ex. Senior Partner, Chemical Consultants Pakistan Ltd, Lahore (Ex. Dr. Ahmad Shahnawaz, Consultants, Lahore),

2. Dr. Masood Subzwari, Consultant and Economic Analyst, Ex. PRD/State Petroleum and Petrochemical Corporation (PERAC),

3. Yousuf Beg, Ex. Managing Director (MD), National Refinery, Ltd. (NRL); earlier MD, EPSL Consultants Pakistan Ltd.,

4. A.A. Karimi, Ex Director, Pak-Hy Oils Ltd. (PHOL)/PERAC with specialization in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Energy projects, and

5. Consultants from the National Engineering Services Pakistan Ltd. (NESPAK).
